As part of a local non-profit agency, we have provided high quality mental health and substance abuse counseling services to Brevard County residents for over 50 years. Our Masters and Doctoral level clinicians have expertise in a wide variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, physical and sexual abuse, eating disorders, co-occurring disorders, parenting, behavioral disorders, and much more.

In addition to outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations, as well both mental health and substance abuse evaluations. With a client-centered, strengths-based approach, we provide a safe environment for all who seek our services.

In-School Expansion of Services

As a contracted behavioral health provider for Brevard Public Schools, LCC employs a team of over 15 clinicians who provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services on site in over 25 local schools. These clinicians specialize in treating children and adolescents, and work closely with the educational professionals within the schools they serve.

These services have seen recent growth within the schools, over 400 school referrals since the beginning of the 2019-2019 school year! We now have 10 clinicians who are certified instructors for Youth Mental Health First Aid.  In addition, our team of clinicians serving middle and high schools can now provide both mental health and substance abuse counseling.

Lifetime Counseling Receives JDC Grant!

The Lifetime Counseling Center is the contracted behavioral health provider for Brevard’s Juvenile Drug Court (JDC).  The interdisciplinary JDC team was selected as one of six sites in the U.S. for a research project sponsored by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) under the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). The project has been designed to test the efficacy of implementation of new Juvenile Drug Treatment Court guidelines.

In addition, our JDC team, is the recipient of a three-year grant from OJJDP. This grant is designed to expand treatment services for JDC youth who may not otherwise be able to afford these services.

Lifetime Counseling Center to Provide Healthy Start Services

The Lifetime Counseling has been asked by the Healthy Start Coalition to become the new provider of Healthy Start services for Brevard County. This exciting new venture has allowed us to bring on 4 new staff members to date and growing!

This new service will begin November 2018 and provides resources, help, and support moms need to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Our team of experienced care coordinators offers in-home services to pregnant women and children under the age of 3, including needs assessment, parent and health education, developmental screening, referrals to other needed services, and case management.

Services Provided

Substance Abuse Counseling

Our state-licensed substance abuse counseling services are available to both adults and adolescents. Our clinicians specialize in helping clients move forward on their journey to recovery, incorporating both group and individual sessions based on the identified needs of each client. All clinicians on this team have training and experience in both substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling. As such, we can assist individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues, developing a treatment plan unique to each client.

As the contracted behavioral health provider for our local Juvenile Drug Court, LCC works closely with probation officers, judges, case managers, and other social service providers to address the treatment needs of youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

LCC offers professional, confidential counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. Our experienced clinicians help our clients address a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, eating disorders, behavior problems, relationship difficulties, and many others. We utilize a variety of evidence-based practices to achieve positive results. Individual, couples/family, and group sessions are available based on the specific needs of each client.

Specialty Programs

At Lifetime Counseling Center, we work with a wide variety of individuals representing the diverse community of Brevard County. In particular, we are committed to serving the Spanish Speaking Community through offering our services in Spanish. We have bilingual clinicians who can provide excellent services to our Spanish speaking clients of all ages.

In addition to our outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling services, we offer a number of psychoeducational and therapeutic programs designed to help reduce and eliminate issues such as interpersonal violence. As such, we offer the following specialized programs: Anger Management, Batterers Intervention Program, and Sex Offender Program. These primarily group-based programs are led by experienced clinicians with expertise relevant to each program. Clients can participate voluntarily or by requirement of the courts.
